Background
Credit Human’s rainwater and condensate system can store up to 130,000 gallons in above and below ground cisterns and tanks, two tanks of which were salvaged from the original Pearl Brewery. The calculated reduction in conventional potable water is nearly 96 percent, and with recycled water as backup, 100 percent of the building’s non-potable water needs are met. Additionally, the system has upstream and downstream metering providing valuable data to be shared with other engineers to help refine water models and further data-driven design.
